Equipped with a global reach, our process is two-fold. First, we create programs and events that make connection and collaboration simple for biculturals of African descent and their allies. Second, we work with partners to bring insight and access to a diverse pool of talent.

Omek is growing and attracting interest from various multinational brands for partnership. You will be at the forefront of the organization and will have the dedication to create and implement a win-win partnership strategy.

As a Business Development Lead, your goal is to identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow. You’ll also help boost new partnerships and forge strong relationships with new and existing brand partners.

This is a part-time opportunity (10 - 15 hours per week) for a period of three months starting January 2023. This is a paid, contract position with the possibility of an extension. You will be collaborating closely with our distributed team. Location is flexible, but working within the Central European timezone is required.

As a Business Development Lead, you'll be responsible for and contribute to the following:

  • Having a good understanding of Omek products or services and being able to articulate and explain the unique value proposition to potential partners

  • Generating leads, establishing relationships with potential partners, and increasing new business partnership 
  • Developing and managing long-term relationships with new and existing partners in order to increase sales opportunities and partner loyalty
  • Developing marketing strategies and tactics to promote the partnership to brands and other stakeholders
  • Working with the leadership team to develop quotes and proposals for brand partners
  • Managing the legal aspects of partnerships by drafting contracts, negotiating terms, and managing disputes
  • Planning and leading sales calls, partnership meetings, post-call, and follow-ups
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc

Perferred skills include

  • Minimum of 4 years of proven working experience as a business development lead within B2B and B2C, sales and account management
  • Strong track record of consistently achieving/surpassing targeted KPIs
  • A self-motivated individual who takes the initiative and works collaboratively across teams
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Analytical thinking, adaptability and integrity values
  • You want to make a difference and are easy to work with
  • Proficiency in English, written and verbal communication skills (Dutch is a plus)
