In 2015 Anita started the Facebook group Black Ladies Talk. The aim of the platform is that black women exchange experiences, overcome mental barriers and help each other in their personal and professional development.

The women also meet offline: there are ‘tea and talks’, in March 2016 one hundred and fifty women in Rotterdam held the first Black Sisterhood Unity March (an annual event since then), and in November 2016 they held a conference in the Bijlmer Parktheater, the Black Ladies Talk conference with workshops and talk shows about (mental) health, among other things.

Tito Valery is equally a photo artist who has shown his work in Documenta (2016) Kassel, Berlin and Athens, solo shows in New York, Zurich with Tracey Rose, performed spoken word at the Tate modern in London (July 2018), a solo at Guest projects Hackney London, (Yinka Shonibare’s art space) group exhibitions in Cameroon, Senegal (Dakart biennial 2014) and recently performed a solo Poetry end-of-residency Piece in Arnhem Netherlands entitled “Game Of Tones 2019”. Tito has written independently, articles for the BBC arts hour, CameroonTribune to name a few. He has been featured in cultural magazines like Inspire Afrika, and bakwa magazine.
