For the last 20 plus years, Andel James has been an active contributor to the Hip-Hop community as a dancer, DJ, youth outreach worker, program coordinator, director and manager at Unity Charity, Blueprintforlife, Wintor Massiv, and 2U4U. He started breaking in Scarborough in 1999 and started Djing in 2010 in Toronto.

Multidisciplinary creatives Nedda Sou and Rabi Bah, co-founders of The Update, are joined by legendary visual artist Lemi Ghariokwu, known for his album cover work for the late Fela Kuti. Together, they’ll unpack the exploration and expressions of personal identity in ones work.

Even though the presence of black expat entrepreneurs is evident, this portion the market seems to be overlooked by corporations.
