The women also meet offline: there are ‘tea and talks’, in March 2016 one hundred and fifty women in Rotterdam held the first Black Sisterhood Unity March (an annual event since then), and in November 2016 they held a conference in the Bijlmer Parktheater, the Black Ladies Talk conference with workshops and talk shows about (mental) health, among other things.

Originally from South Africa, Naniso Tswai is a Berlin-based author, academic and artist. His work is strongly embedded in broader issues of justice, particularly as these relate to human rights and identity. He has performed on various stages across Europe, and also in Australia and South Africa. He is the founder of Wicked Projects, which is a dynamic endeavour that initiates, supports and promotes Spoken Word art projects both in and outside of Europe.
