African Collaboration Summit 2019

There are over 2,000 African diaspora organizations and networks registered in the Netherlands. The goal of the summit is to bring these organizations together and facilitate access and visibility to each other.

In its first edition, this event took everyone by surprise — the room was filled with successful, like-minded professionals of African descent who were all eager to connect and share their experience and support each other.

Overview

During the evening we brought together a panel of organizations and leaders from culture, film, healthcare, business, politics, and media to highlight the depth and diversity of talent in our community.

Breakout sessions split up participants into separate groups including Creatives and Media, Business and IT, Politics, and Philanthropy. Each group discussed ideas on how to collaborate and proposed concrete steps on moving forward.

The evening ended with a networking event where people had the opportunity to meet and engage with each other which led to more connections, new collaborations, business partnerships, and job opportunities.
