Booking.com — Blacktober
Omek and B.bold (Booking.com's Black ERG) collaborated on a series of events during Black Achievement Month. These featured talks, workshops, and sessions with a global perspective.


The challenge
Objectives included enhancing the Employee Resource Group (ERG) visibility within Booking.com, fostering engagement among Black employees and allies, and establishing connections with the external community for speaking engagements and performances.
Our approach
We collaborated closely with B.bold leadership for several months to craft a customized program that aligned with their goals of creating an enjoyable and engaging experience throughout Black Achievement Month. Each week centered around a distinct theme, focusing on bicultural awareness, authentic storytelling, and nurturing influence within the corporate landscape.


What we did
We played a pivotal role in designing and hosting sessions through this program, from its conceptualization to inviting community experts and performers, managing speaker communications, and moderating sessions.


Key results
Throughout the month, we had a global turnout, including employees from various offices like the US, Brazil, and the Netherlands. The breakout room sessions and wrap up party were highly engaging, attracting new ERG members — both Black employees and allies.
As the year ended, we prepared an impact report with attendance data, quotes, and key metrics for internal stakeholders.
